We are now looking for an Audit Partner (Private Equity Funds) to join their bust, successful, and growing Financial Services team.

Audit Partner, Private Equity Funds

$250-500K plus excellent benefits package.

New York, or remote.

To be successful in this role:

This position requires extensive experience in auditing financial statements, a deep understanding of private equity industry regulations, along with the ability to provide strategic guidance to clients. You will be a confident Audit Partner with 12+ years of extensive experience in auditing private equity funds and be a fully qualified CPA.

Other requirements for this role include:

  • Bachelor s degree (BA/BS) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements for private equity funds
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver high-quality audit services

Job role and responsibilities:

As an Audit Partner specializing in Private Equity Funds, you will play a critical role in leading and managing the audit engagements for private equity funds (which may include venture capital funds and other closed-ended vehicle structures). You will be responsible for fostering client relationships, overseeing audit teams, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of financial statements.

Other responsibilities for this role include:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with private equity fund clients
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, providing insights and solutions to address clients' financial and operational challenges
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives and tailor audit services accordingly
  • Lead and manage audit engagements for private equity funds, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and execute risk-based audit plans, considering the unique aspects of private equity fund operations
  • Review and analyze financial statements, accounting records, and supporting documentation
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop audit teams, providing guidance and support in a dynamic work environment
  • Conduct performance evaluations, identify training needs, and contribute to the professional growth of team members
  • Stay current on industry trends, accounting principles, and regulatory changes impacting private equity funds
  • Apply technical expertise to address complex accounting and auditing issues relevant to private equity clients
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of audit work, maintaining a commitment to professional standards and ethics
  • Implement and enforce internal quality control procedures to safeguard the integrity of audit processes
  • Identify opportunities for business development and expansion of services within the private equity sector
  • Participate in proposal development, and client presentations, and contribute to the growth of the audit practice
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including tax, advisory, and consulting services, to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients
