Audit Senior

Compensation:

Pay: From $34.00 to $40.80 per hour (based on experience)

Annual pay can be calculated using an estimated 2,300 hours worked per year.

Example:

2,080 hours (40hrs*52wks) at $34.00 = $70,720.00 per year

220 over time hours at time and a half $51.00 = $11,220.00 per year

Total Estimated Annual Pay based on 2,300 hours: $81,940.00 per year

Position Type: Full-Time Non-Exempt

In compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay Act, Compensation Differentials for this position are based on education, experience, training, and geographic location, as well as DWC's seniority and merit systems.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assess and enhance clients' internal control systems using your expertise in transactional flow and key cycles.
  • Prepare complex financial statements with disclosures and stay updated with accounting pronouncements.
  • Collaborate with the team to formulate effective audit plans and strategies.
  • Utilize research tools to address intricate accounting issues and document findings.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear explanations of audit findings and addressing any inquiries.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within audit procedures and contribute to the firm's continuous enhancement initiatives.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, guiding them to excel in their roles.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, MBA or Masters of Accountancy preferred.
  • Two or more years of public accounting experience.
  • CPA certification or progress towards it preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to travel, as needed.
  • Knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and auditing principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a team.
  • Professional communication and documentation abilities.
