A professional services firm in New York City is currently seeking an experienced Auditor to join their staff as their new Audit Senior.Responsibilities:The Audit Senior will be responsible for:
- Executing daily activities of audit engagements for SEC registrants and ensuring the delivery of high-quality audits
- Managing client engagements from inception to completion, which involves planning, executing, directing, and finalizing audit projects within budget constraints
- Maintaining technical knowledge necessary to oversee staff on audits, compilations, reviews, and tax-related tasks
- Supervising, training, and mentoring associates and interns on tax projects
- Evaluating staff performance for engagement reviews, and assuming the in-charge role as required
- Inspecting financial and accounting records, other documents, and tangible items
- Preparing and organizing working papers
- Composing reports that are both concise and precise
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of progressive Audit experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Experience with SEC reporting clients
- Microsoft Excel proficient
- Solid analytical and research skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
