- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, or a related field, with major course work in accounting, auditing, or finance.
- One (1) year of experience in auditing, accounting, or fiscal management.
- Advanced degree(s) beyond the minimum degree requirement in a relevant field may be considered for some experience.
- Knowledge of, and familiarity with, the theory, procedures, and practices related to public and educational administration, audit, and finance.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Preferred
- Certification as a certified internal auditor, certified information systems auditor, certified public accountant, and/or certified fraud examiner.
