Company: Malaya ServicesMalaya Services is looking for Auditors to join our Audit Practice in Albany, NY. Our Assurance Practice provides professional services to a diverse client base, including large and small governments, public-private partnerships, non-profit organizations, and collaborations with other professional service firms, both domestically and internationally.
Key Responsibilities:
General Accounting & Audit Functions:- Conduct financial and compliance audits.
- Perform audits of internal controls over financial reporting.
Audit & Test Procedures:- Assist the audit team in executing key audit and test procedures.
- Perform tracing and vouching of financials and work papers to underlying support documentation.
- Conduct analytical analyses in alignment with audit program requirements.
Team Collaboration:- Communicate regularly with the assigned team leader.
- Provide support to ensure timely and accurate audit completion.
Tax Engagements:- Support tax engagements as needed.
Additional Responsibilities:- Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Available for full-time, part-time, or contract positions.
- Willingness to travel and/or relocate to Albany.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification is preferred, but experienced Non-CPAs will also be considered.
- Government audit experience is a plus.
Requirements:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective interpersonal skills and team-oriented mindset.
- Confidence to work independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Willingness to travel as necessary.
- Audit experience in government or non-profit organizations is a plus.
