Edison Home Health Care - is seeking an experienced Authorization Clerk to join its growing team in our Brooklyn, NY office. This is a full-time position and will work closely with other departments of our company to ensure timely and accurate Authorization process. Responsibilities:
- Check all Authorization e-mail/faxes
- Running temp authorization report, follow up with contracts on outstanding Authorizations.
- Entering/updating increase/decrease authorizations
- Requesting outstanding authorizations, confirm units and codes.
- Updating hospitalized/hold/discharged patients.
- Following up with contract regarding all authorization-related issues.
- Running temp authorization report, follow up with contracts on outstanding Authorizations.
- Following up for discharge authorizations.
- Duties are subject to change according to agency's needs.
Qualifications:
- HHA Exchange Knowledge - Required
- Medicaid Eligibility Knowledge in Home Health Care - Required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Must be detail-oriented with ability to work independently in the high-pace work environment.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
