Position Details:Title: Authorized Inspector (Trainee)Location: Sacramento, CA and Lake Charles, LAShift: Mon-Fri, Normal working hours. Occasional evening and weekend work.Compensation: $70K to $75K (depending on exp and location) + $2500 pay increase after training completion + company car. OT available.Benefits: Robust benefit package, Med/Den/Vis, 401K, ISP, TA and more!Travel: Required – occasional overnights, depending on territoryPosition Description: Responsibilities include:Train for 12-14 weeks for the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)/National Board training/certification commissions.120 hours of on-the-job training with another Inspector to complete training process.Perform new construction, repair, alteration and jurisdiction inspections of boilers and pressure vessels as required by the American Society of Mechanical Engineering Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (ASME Code) Sections III, and National Board Code including referenced construction codes and standards of our clients.Requirements:High school diploma and equivalent (Military) work experience, or a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering3-5 years of boiler and/or high-pressure steam & water system maintenance/operation experience4+ years of mechanical experience with Boilers and Pressure Vessels in a power plant-Nuke or conventionalMM/BT, or an SRO and/or a Steam PPWO/EOOW 3+ yearsNavy Nuke EM or ET with a minimum of 3yrs qualified SRO experienceQuality Assurance inspections of mechanical equipment, water, and steam systemsBoiler and/or steam system maintenance and operationInspections on mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and air conditioning systemsNBIC Boiler Inspector Qualification a plusInsurance inspection service experience involving risk-based inspections and analysisComputer skills: Microsoft Office and web-based applications, Lotus NotesClean driving record and must be able to pass a background check.
