Job DetailsJob Location ASNC Corporate Office- Raleigh - Raleigh, NC Description Individuals employed in this position will provide direct, programmed instruction utilizing the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA). Behavior Technicians will provide services to individuals enrolled in the Life Long Interventions program. Behavior Technicians will be supervised by licensed psychologists, licensed psychological associates, and board certified behavior analysts (BCBAs) in the Clinical Department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Directly implements behavior analytic interventions (targeting both skill acquisition and behavior reduction), as designed by the supervising consultant.
  • Effectively manages difficult behaviors such as aggression, self-injury, and property destruction, according to procedures outlined by the supervising consultant.
  • Collects detailed data to track participant behavior throughout therapy sessions, according to the guidelines provided by the supervisor.
  • Makes proper documentation of the session's activities and the behavior of the participant in the proper format and submits to a supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Participates in training related to applied behavior analysis and autism, in order to ensure delivery of the highest quality of care to each individual served.
  • Attends off-site supervision meetings with case consultants, on a monthly (at minimum) or as-needed basis.
  • Remains professional in all interactions with family, other providers, and other ASNC staff, to ensure continuity and quality of care for the individual.
  • Collaborates with supervisors and other behavior technicians to facilitate effective communication.
  • Receive supervision and feedback regarding job performance, from both supervisors and families.
Other duties as required. Qualifications Applicants must be 18 years or older, and must be nearing completion or have completed a Bachelors degree (preferred). Individuals are not required to be registered as behavior technicians (RBT) with the behavior analyst certification board (BACB) prior to their start date. However, prior completion of the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification requirements is encouraged. If not already RBT certified, the appropriate training necessary to obtain this certification will be provided at the start of your employment.
