If you feel that your skills would be a valuable asset to our customers, we want to get to know you!Job Description:Hampstead Pre-Owned is seeking a skilled Body Technician to join our team and help us maintain the highest standards of auto body repair and vehicle appearance.The Body Technician will be responsible for repairing and refurbishing vehicle bodies to restore them to their original condition. This role involves working on various makes and models, performing a range of tasks from minor dents and scratches to collision repairs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive body repair, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform body repairs on a variety of vehicles, including fixing dents, scratches, and other damage
- Utilize a variety of tools and techniques to restore vehicles to their pre-accident condition
- Assess and repair vehicle frames and structural components as needed
- Prepare and apply paint to vehicles, ensuring a smooth and consistent finish that matches factory standards
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment and the safety of all vehicles being repaired
- Identify and work on top priorities using a provided list of tasks
- Work through assigned tasks independently
- Replace damaged parts and components with new or refurbished parts, ensuring proper fit and alignment.
Qualifications(Certifications, Skills):
- Proven experience as an automotive body technician, preferably in a dealership or body shop setting
- Strong proficiency in body repair, painting, and refinishing techniques
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of body repair and refinishing
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address and resolve repair challenges effectively
- ASE or I-CAR certification (preferred)
- Spanish speaking or bilingual (required)
