The successful candidate should have experience in the diagnosis, mechanical operation, and repair of automobiles. The Automotive Technician will work closely with the Service Manager and the rest of the Audi Service team. Any job offer will be conditioned on passing a drug test for the following substances: Benzodiazepines, Barbiturates, Methadone, Propoxyphene, Cocaine, Heroin, Codeine, Morphine, Amphetamines, PCP. We do not test for marijuana or THC. Responsibilities: Completes service and repair assignments correctly in the specified time frame, ensuring repairs pass quality inspections and test drives. Diagnoses and corrects mechanical and electrical problems in accordance with manufacturer specifications. Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-technical individuals which may include other teammates and customers as required. Uses manuals, computers systems, and technical bulletins to complete the repair order. Stays up to date on the latest technical services and all information pertinent (i.e., dealership policies and procedures) to the Automotive Technician position through trainings, bulletins, campaigns, etc. Maintains a clean and well-organized work area; performs preventative maintenance, cleaning, and repairs on dealership tools and equipment. Always maintains safe working practices and abides by working rules and standards; follows all hazardous waste and OSHA safety regulations and company policies. Coordinates with parts department to ensure parts are available to complete repair; properly disposes of used parts and returns unused parts to the parts person or location. Promotes the dealership by always presenting a professional image and positive attitude; demonstrates commitment to other staff, customers, dealership, and company. Works collaboratively with internal and external customers/provides technical assistance and support to team members as needed. Expected to complete and maintain factory certification and factory trainings as directed and in the timeframe established by their direct supervisor. Requirements: One year experience in the automotive repair industry as a technician or mechanic is preferred. – Hiring Immediately! ASE and brand certifications are a plus. High school diploma or GED required. Possess or be willing to purchase your own tools. Attention to detail, organization, and communication skills are essential to a successful technician. Automotive Technicians receive commission and bonus payments based on Shop Production. The average Automotive Technicians annual compensation can range from $70,000 to $85,000, though any individual's wages, commissions, or bonuses could be less or more based on their individual performance.
