It's possible!Position based in Chicago, IL - Hybrid (3 days in the office)We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Autodesk Vault Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing, organizing, and securing our digital and physical records. As a Vault Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining an efficient document management system and ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive information.What You'll Do:Document & System ManagementCreate and manage capital project archives for all US-based and Global Engineering capital projects.Develop and implement technical documentation management strategies for various categories of engineering drawings and supporting documentation for 10+ active manufacturing facilities.Map historical drawing templates and properties to create a full and accurate library of engineering documentation.Interpret existing engineering workflows and reverse engineer them into integrated approval flows within Autodesk Vault.Oversee the organization, classification, and archiving of both digital and physical documents related to JH Engineering Standards.Develop and implement effective document control procedures to streamline workflows.Address and resolve issues related to document access, retrieval, and system maintenance & functionality for all users.Monitor/track documentation review/approvals to ensure timely processing.Data Security & Access ControlImplement and enforce security protocols to safeguard sensitive information that align with company policies.Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with data protection regulations.Manage user access and permissions within the document management system, including licenses.Provide training to employees on proper document handling and access procedures.Implement and maintain version control processes for documents to ensure accuracy and traceability.Monitor changes and updates, resolving discrepancies promptly.Ability to train and mentor CAD users. Must be able to document and communicate training materials and work instructions. Provide employee training for new versions of software.Publish Tips, Techniques, and Best Practices for use of CAD and PDM/PLM Databases. Interact and support integrations and data sharing amongst internal engineering disciplines and departments.What You'll Bring:Bachelor's degree preferred, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or, Information Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.Mechanical Engineering Drafting experience desirable.5+ years of experience as administrator with PDM software (preferably AutoDesk Vault).Proven experience as a Vault Administrator or similar role.Familiarity with document management systems and best practices.Strong knowledge of data security and access control principles.Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Attention to detail and accuracy in document handling.Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.Proficient with CAD software and use in mechanical and electrical engineering processes.Working knowledge of CAD license management.Working knowledge of CAD software administration and installation.Familiar with Product Lifecycle Development Processes and configuration control (revisions, release level, approvals).Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team with other engineers.Flexibility/adaptability in a fast-paced & dynamic environment.Detail oriented, with solid organizational skills.Aptitude to analyze results and make recommendations.What You'll Receive:At James Hardie, we recognize that our success depends on our people.
