Automation Engineer - Fulfillment Material Handling
Automation Engineer works with people, processes and equipment in an effort to optimize operations with the HelloFresh Distribution Centers. The ideal candidate will use their experience and technical acumen to enhance efficiencies and scope automation opportunities throughout the distribution network.
You will
* Work with external vendors and system integrators to develop automated order fulfillment solutions utilizing top industry technology such as AMRs, Robotic arms, ASRS, sortation systems, etc.
* Support designing distribution facilities, including new facilities, facility retrofits, conveyor changes, and other material handling equipment (MHE) changes.
* Lead new technology and equipment commissioning/startup efforts as well as optimization improvements for existing systems.
* Work with cross-functional team members to ensure their business needs are met by new system designs.
* Develop robust ROI analyses for new technology/processes
You are
* Analytical, planning and organizing, sound judgment, decision making, and leadership skills required

* Ability to translate complex technical information into simple documentation and presentations
* Ability to analyze and provide solutions for cost reduction through automation implementation and cost/benefit analysis.

* Excellent interpersonal skills, professional attitude, and approach (and the ability to interact with individuals at various levels of the organization, up and down).
You have
* BS Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar field required.
* Experience with Warehouse Conveyance (Right Angle Transfers, MDR, Sortation, Spirals, etc.)
* 2 years of engineering experience in multi-site industrial distribution, manufacturing, or processing environments preferred
* Experience with using Warehouse Control Systems (WCS/WES) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
* Extensive experience with Microsoft Office products, mainly Microsoft Excel, and Google Suite
* AutoCAD proficiency preferred
* SQL proficiency preferred
