Job Description:

Precipart, located in Farmingdale, New York, is looking to hire an Automation Engineer to be at the forefront of driving automation initiatives, enhancing production efficiency, and ensuring the highest quality standards in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. As an Automation Engineer, you will oversee and manage all aspects of automation projects, including planning, budgeting, and logistics and provides feedback to all team members and facilitate communication throughout the project's lifecycle. We are looking for a skilled engineer with a passion for innovation and a strong background in automation systems to help us maintain our reputation for excellence in delivering custom-engineered solutions to our clients.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSDesign, test and optimize automated systems in various manufacturing and logistics environments.Develop and implement automated systems and processes to optimize efficiency and productivity.Work alongside other departments to create automation plans that align with business goals.Lead the implementation of automation in revising existing technology so it requires less human interaction.Monitor the performance of the implemented automation.Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects with cross functional stakeholders.Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field.Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel's performance) and report regularly on project status.Assign responsibilities and mentor project team.Cooperate and communicate effectively with other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.Utilize available technical resources to determine most efficient methods for increased profitability.Responsible for conforming with the company's quality management system requirements, as well as contributing to its overall effectiveness, and the ultimate goals of customer satisfaction, product compliance and ethical practices/behavior.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / EDUCATIONA Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronic Engineering plus 5 or more years of related work experienceIn lieu of degree, 10 or more years of work experience in a related engineering environmentCertified project managerProficient in reading mechanical drawingsStrong communication and time management skillsProficient problem-solving skillsMust have good computer skills i.e., excel, word, power point, etc.Ability to work with multiple discipline projectsTime management and organizational skillsDecision making ability and leadership skillsValues treating people well, has an empathetic approach and mindset, is ambitious and strives for personal and collective excellence, supports diversity and inclusion, and has a positive outlook and attitudePREFERRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / EDUCATION:Experience programming 3, 4 & 5axis CNC Mills, multi-axis Turning machines Swiss style turning machines is a plusFamiliarity with Mastercam and Solid works (CAD/CAM software) is a plusSalary Range: $85,000 to $100,000 annuallyWhat We'll Offer You in ReturnBase salary plus incentive programPaid time off (TOB, holidays, parental leave)Medical, dental, vision insuranceFlexible Spending AccountHealth Savings PlanLife insurance, enhanced short term and long-term disability insurance and other voluntary insurance plans401k Profit sharing planTuition ReimbursementEmployee Referral BonusNational Employee Assistance Program529 College Savings ProgramProfessional development and trainingBrand new, modern workspace and manufacturing facilitiesCompany events and outings, from Employee Appreciation Day to professional sports gamesStable organization with opportunities for future growth within the companyAbout Precipart GroupPrecipart engineers, designs and manufactures high precision custom solutions for the world's leading companies in the Medical, Aerospace and Industrial markets.
