Rate Range: $175k/yr to $220K/yr/hour(( includes base salary+ performance bonus)); The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Akkodis is seeking to fill a DIRECT HIRE Automation Engineer job in Lexington NC. The successful candidate will take care of our customers by executing the division's safety, quality, cost, productivity, and profitability objectives. You will safely maintain electrical and automation components throughout the plant. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within the company therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
DIRECT HIRE Automation Engineer job responsibilities:
This includes troubleshooting and repairing, cooperating with, and supporting operations, pursuing process improvement, assisting with documentation, and training for all equipment, and other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will work closely with Level 2, operations, and area electrical teams to utilize, modify, and develop PLC code, HMIs, network hardware/software, and documentation to increase productivity, quality, and safety, as well as coordinate larger projects when contract automation groups are utilized.
Expected to participate in and promote an atmosphere of cooperation and teamwork while maintaining compliance in all areas of the site within our Quality Control System.
expected to work a flexible schedule, including scheduled and unscheduled overtime, rotating shifts, and weekends.

Prior experience in Steel Mill electrical maintenance
4-year Engineering Degree or equivalent applicable work experience
