  • Developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation and backup systems for in-house software and programs (PLC, CNC, etc.).
  • Selecting and supporting PLC, SCADA, and Human Machine Interface (HMI) software (e.g., Intellution, Wonderware, RSView, Panel View).
  • Assisting in the design, specification, purchasing, installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of PLC-based control systems.
  • Programming PLC ladder logic to support manufacturing processes (Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Direct Logic).
  • Creating wiring schematics and control cabinet drawings.
  • Preparing project authorizations with funding schedules for engineering projects.
  • Managing approved projects and expenditures.
  • Developing specifications and conducting cost analysis for control packages for new machine acquisitions.
  • Recommending upgrades for control, automation, and data acquisition systems.
  • Creating support programs for PLC and PC-controlled equipment.
  • Initiating and implementing engineering changes and document revisions.
  • Preparing Capital Expenditure Requests (CERs) for new equipment.
  • Training supervisors, maintenance staff, and production workers as needed.

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of SCADA experience in the design, programming, and installation of monitoring and control systems using PLC and HMI software.
  • Proficient in PLC programming (relay ladder logic), PID process control loops, SCADA systems, and project management. Familiarity with AC vector and DC coordinated drive systems and the National Electric Code in industrial control systems is essential.
  • Experience with industrial robots and vision systems is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and a disciplined problem-solving approach.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills in listening, writing, speaking, and presenting.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to support departmental and corporate goals and policies.
