Job Opening: Automation IT System Administrator Are you a seasoned IT professional with a knack for automation? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! Our company is seeking a skilled Automation IT System Administrator to join our dynamic team. This role is instrumental in maintaining the operational integrity of our Automation Network and ensuring the smooth running of our IT systems.
What You'll Be Doing: - Conducting routine network backups on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
- Performing system and utility maintenance in line with vendor procedures
- Implementing and maintaining telephone, network, and security access for employees
- Identifying and rolling out new software and computer applications to boost efficiency
- Assisting new employees with automated training of the Agency Management System
- Providing technical support to staff and assisting with automated tutorials and other training needs
- Assisting accounting staff with the month-end close process
- Coordinating with department managers on automation processing and procedures
- Working closely with insurance companies/vendors to integrate automated products with the Agency's Management System and network
- Interacting with Computer Consultants/Technicians to maintain the integrity of the network
- Attending User Group workshops and conferences
- Maintaining the Automation Procedure Manual and office equipment/hardware inventory
- Keeping the automation department budget tracking spreadsheet up to date
Tasks You'll Oversee: - Ordering hardware equipment and installing system patches and updates
- Installing insurance companies/vendors software
- Coordinating schedules for electronic batch downloads and daily close processes
- Assisting staff with daily computer glitches or errors
- Keeping staff informed of automation changes and corrections
- Scheduling technician services for work assignments
- Assisting in setting up new workstations with hardware and network connectivity cables
What We're Looking For: The ideal candidate will have:
- A 4-year college degree or equivalent work-related experience
- Desktop Application Certifications / Technical Training Certifications
- Networking skills and knowledge of MS Windows NT Server, Outlook, Exchange Server, and Metaframe
- Experience with MS Word, Excel, hardware and software installation, and cloud computing
- At least 4 years of relevant work experience
- Problem-solving skills and knowledge of NT Server & Citrix Metraframe
