Join the Mizuho team as an Automation Manager!The Senior Manager for Automation and Reengineering Market Risk IT platform will be responsible for leading initiatives to automate, reengineer, and enhance the reliability and robustness of Market Risk IT systems and processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in implementing market risk systems in modern stack, incorporating infrastructure observability, application observability, and data observability. This role requires a strong technical background with hands-on experience in Java, Python, and SQL, combined with proven leadership and project management skills.
Key Responsibilities.- Technical Leadership: Provide hands-on technical expertise in Java and Python to guide the development and maintenance of Market Risk systems in the Azure cloud. Ensure high-quality code and adherence to modern practices. Maintain high standards by challenging the status quo, inspiring innovation, and simplifying processes.
- Automation & Process Reengineering: Lead the design and implementation of automation strategies to streamline complex systems, processes, reduce manual interventions, and improve overall system efficiency.
- System Reliability & Robustness: Develop and enforce best practices to ensure the reliability, availability, and scalability of Market Risk systems. Implement modern observability and SRE practices to proactively address potential issues.
- Project Management: Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of functional and infrastructure projects. Develop and maintain service-level agreements with technology teams and business units, ensuring adherence to KPI metrics and quality standards.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with risk managers, operations, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, prioritize initiatives, and communicate progress.
Qualifications and Skills- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Seeking 20 years of overall experience. Minimum of 7-10 years of leadership experience in a similar role, with a strong focus on automation, process reengineering, and system reliability. Experience in the financial services industry is required.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Java and Python, with hands-on experience in developing and maintaining modern solutions.
- Strong technical and operational skills with the ability to manage complex systems.
- Experience with risk management systems and processes is highly desirable.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor technical teams, with strong project management skills.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on strategic solutions.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
The expected base salary ranges from $190k-$250k. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
