Job Description:
Burrow Global Automation is a vendor-neutral Automation Systems Integrator who manages and supports all aspects of automation projects, from concept to operation, focusing on the energy, specialty chemical, and sustainable energy markets. Working closely with our clients, we enable their processes to operate, striving for the utmost safety and efficiency - all the while providing a fun, challenging, and balanced team environment for great people.Our client is undertaking a multiyear migration of their legacy process control system across the plant. The program includes all aspects of the migration, from programming through fieldwork and commissioning/start-up. Our client is seeking remote DeltaV programmers to assist with this effort.Responsibilities
  • Primarily responsible for conversion of existing configuration to DeltaV.
  • Participate in capital projects, new installations, testing, and modernization projects for new systems. May contribute to multiple projects at once.
  • Apply knowledge of control system hardware types, uses, and limitations to the benefit of our clients.
  • Provide technical support, problem-solving, maintenance, modifications, and continuous improvement for process control systems.
  • Optional travel to domestic client sites may be available up to 25-50%
Key Skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of control systems documentation (e.g., P&IDs, Cause and Effects, Control System Architecture, I/O Index, etc.).
  • Familiarity with relevant Automation industry standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA 72, 85, 86, IEC61511, IEC 61508, API 14C, and UL508A)
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Ability to work effectively remotely.
  • Understanding of chemical/refining processes and applications.
  • Comfortable with both office and plant environments.
  • Ability to deal with uncertainty and pressure.
  • Works well with others within a team and takes accountability.
  • Organized, with strong computer literacy skills such as MS Project, Excel, Visio, Power Point, etc.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Electrical, Instrument, Computer Engineering or similar discipline (or equivalent technical experience)
  • 5-15 years of experience in the Automation field with hands on experience with DeltaV Additional Experience with ABB, Dow MOD5, or Siemens is a plus.
  • 5-15 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Chemicals, or adjacent markets
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
