Job Summary:
The Automation Technician is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and machinery. This role ensures that all machines operate efficiently and effectively, minimizing downtime and maintaining production quality.
Major Responsibilities
Preventive Maintenance:
Perform regular preventive maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and longevity.Maintain maintenance schedules and logs.Troubleshooting and Repair:
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in machinery and equipment.Perform timely repairs to minimize equipment downtime, including replacing worn parts and components.Installation and Setup:
Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment.Calibrate and adjust machinery to meet production specifications.Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including parts used and labor hours.Document modifications and improvements made to equipment.Safety, Compliance, GMP:
Follow all safety protocols, GMP, and CRA regulations while performing maintenance tasks.Ensure that all equipment is compliant with industry safety standards.Collaboration:
Work closely with production teams to identify maintenance needs and improve equipment efficiency.Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding maintenance issues and solutions.Training and Support:
Provide training to operators on proper equipment use and basic maintenance procedures.Support and assist in troubleshooting machine operation issues with production staff.Physical Demands/Environment

- Occasionally required to stand; climb or balance; stoop, kneel or crouch; lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; work in wet or humid conditions, in high places and outdoor weather conditions; exposed to fumes or airborne particles
- Available to work 45+ hours per week and weekends when requested
