Job Description:

Bell & Associates is seeking an Automation Technician in Hartford City, IN.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of automated industrial machinery. The automation technician keeps things running smoothly as they check on and maintain

machinery.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Test, troubleshoot, and oversee implementation of new processes and robotics.
  • Install retrofits to existing systems and troubleshoot hardware and instrument problems.
  • Maintain automation processes and writing reports.
  • Experience programming Fanuc robots or similar.
  • Assist with integrating robots into existing machines.
  • Assist with integrating standard vision systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned regarding production improvements.
  • Support start-up activities.
  • Respond to calls for assistance.
  • Comply with safety regulations and protocols.
  • Assist with completion of preventive maintenance.
  • General fabrication skills, Capable of constructing Robot EOATs, Machine guards, Sensor brackets, etc.
  • Coordinates and maintains all job responsibilities in a continuous and flexible manner and performs other related duties and assignments as required.
  • ISO 14001 awareness training.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Completion of a 2-year degree or technical certificate program or manufacturing experience.
  • Networks & database operation.
  • Robot set up and programming.
  • Visions systems set up and programming.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

This position requires that the employee be able to move and transport plastic parts that generally do not exceed 10 pounds. This position also includes frequent and prolonged periods of

standing/walking, pushing /pulling or moving/lifting supplies. This position experiences frequent/occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, repetitive motion and gripping. Must comply with all safety requirements including use of the personal protection equipment required for this position.
