We are seeking an experienced Automation Tester to join our Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) team. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in delivering automated software testing solutions and will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. Responsibilities:
- Utilize strong experience and skills in delivering automated software testing solutions using industry best practices as part of an Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) team.
- Create comprehensive test plans, procedures, and test suites encompassing functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and performance/load testing to cover all new and updated features via the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
- Ensure test cases are clearly and easily traceable to requirements and implementation code through a Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) or similar as appropriate.
- Conduct testing through automation using tools such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.
- Author Gherkin feature specifications in cooperation with developers for new and existing features.
- Work with DevSecOps team members to ensure automated testing runs on a recurring basis automatically and reliably.
- Provide recommendations to enhance the quality of deliverables via suggested changes to Agile SDLC, business processes, or other areas.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in automated software testing methodologies and tools.
- Experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) using frameworks like Cucumber or SpecFlow.
- Experience with Playwright or similar for web application testing.
- Experience with TypeScript for scripting automated tests is highly desirable.
- 3+ years of experience in automation.
- Strong understanding of Agile SDLC principles and practices.
- Ability to create detailed test plans, procedures, and test suites.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, ensuring automated tests are integrated seamlessly into the pipeline for fast feedback and quality assurance.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills within a team environment.
- Experience with cloud-based testing environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in software testing and Agile methodologies (e.g., ISTQB, Agile Scrum Master) are advantageous.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship (Permanent Residents must have had their Green Card for a minimum of 3 years to qualify).
