- Take receipt of invoices
- Verify accuracy
- Receive approval for invoices
- Code invoices
- Prepare accounts payable checks in a timely manner
- Reconcile weekly credit card vendor payments
- Post accounts payable invoices
- Reconcile statements
- Verify for tax liability and collect appropriate tax forms
- Keep current vendor list information
- Scan and maintain electronic files
- Communicate with other departments
- Other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
- Previous accounting/accounts payable experience is required
- College degree preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Tekion DMS experience a plus
- Strong organizational skills, required
- Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Computer proficiency especially Excel and data entry
- Ability to adapt to and work effectively within a constantly changing environment
- Excellent customer service and problem solving skills
- Must pass background checks, MVR, and drug screen
- Valid driver's license with a clear driving record with no suspensions or major violations
