Revology Cars is hiring an Automotive Assembly Trim Technician at the Orlando, Florida facility where we build 1965-1968 Ford® Mustang® and Shelby® GT new licensed reproduction rolling chassis and restored original automobiles. - The Automotive Assembly Trim Technician will be assigned to the Trim workstation in the Assembly department. Trim is the first four stations after the car leaves the paint dept. There are a total of 28 workstations in the production area.
- Trim automotive technicians install NVH material, electrical harnesses and components, glass and mechanisms, exterior trim, HVAC systems, fuel lines and tank and conduct electrical and water leak quality checks.
- Trim has an important impact on the quality of the finished product. Proper assembly and installation of components saves hours of time in production and makes other workstations run smoothly.
- Automotive technicians in trim possess a keen eye for detail, have great dexterity, are inquisitive and take pride in their work.
- The automotive trim technician is physically able to lift 50lbs and is comfortable working in restricted spaces.
- Trim technicians work efficiently and with a quality mindset to complete one car every 22 hours.
- The variety of jobs available means there is a path to career growth as a technician becomes more skilled.
Work Schedule: The normal work schedule is 6:00am-4:30pm Monday through Thursday with the willingness and ability to work on any assigned schedule, change shifts periodically, work more than 10 hours per day and/or work overtime, while maintaining good attendance. Skills and Abilities:
- Ability and willingness to learn and follow safety rules and procedures.
- Ability to perform manual labor, standing and walking much of the time, and with a certain amount of manual dexterity (the ability to pick up, handle, and manipulate tools, parts, and/or materials quickly and accurately).
- Ability to maneuver into, around, and about vehicles or components on an assembly line. Tasks may require a certain amount of reaching, twisting, and bending.
- Ability to learn, remember, and maintain pace of steps involved in performing a job after instruction, training, and familiarization with the tasks.
- Ability and willingness to understand and follow instructions, both verbal and written.
- Ability to perceive differences in very specific details when inspecting parts or work performed, checking for defects or quality issues, or when distinguishing various parts/components by identification number or code.
- Ability and willingness to work in a team environment, including helping co-workers, maintaining, and promoting a safe work environment, treating co-workers with dignity and respect regardless of personal differences, and accepting and following instructions and requests from leadership.
- Must have a keen eye for detail, great dexterity, inquisitive, and take pride in his/her work.
- Able to work efficiently and consistently with a quality mindset.
- All positions require the ability and willingness to follow work instructions and do things the same way, to the same high standard of quality, every time.
- A willingness and ability to work on any assigned schedule, change shifts periodically, work more than 8 hours per day and/or work overtime, while maintaining good attendance.
Desired Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Interest in the Automotive Industry.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to use, or willingness to learn how to use, an iPad.
