Position Description:The Detail Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the dealership's detailing department. This position ensures that all vehicles, including new and pre-owned, customer vehicles, and service loaners, are cleaned and detailed to dealership standards. The Detail Supervisor will lead a team of detailers, manage workflow, maintain cleanliness and organization of the department, and ensure that all detailing tasks are completed efficiently and professionally.ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists with the daily activities of the detail department, including scheduling, assigning tasks, and monitoring the quality of work. Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and knowledge..
- Assist in managing the teams time and attendance and submit to payroll department bi-weekly.
- Assist in managing time-off requests.
- Oversees personnel, production machines, and equipment.
- Oversees the setup and use of tools and equipment before production use to ensure the optimum level of safety.
- Ensure all vehicles are thoroughly cleaned, washed, vacuumed, waxed, and polished inside and out according to dealership standards.
- Inspect vehicles post-detailing for quality control and address any necessary corrections.
- Manage the detailing process for a variety of vehicles, including customer-owned, pre-owned, and new inventory.
- Maintain adequate stock of detailing products and tools, ensuring they are used efficiently and safely.
- Order cleaning products and tools as needed, ensuring budget adherence and product quality.
- Monitor and maintain all detailing equipment to ensure it is in proper working condition.
- Ensure excellent customer service by meeting or exceeding customer expectations regarding the cleanliness and presentation of their vehicles.
- Address any customer concerns or complaints related to detailing services, resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Work closely with the service and sales departments to ensure detailing needs are met for vehicle deliveries, service customers, and dealership inventory.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3+ years of experience in automotive detailing, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of various cleaning products, tools, and techniques for vehicle detailing.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
