Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Diagnostics Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving issues within vehicle systems using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of modern automotive technology, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality service to ensure vehicle safety and performance. Key Responsibilities: Perform diagnostic testing to identify mechanical and electrical malfunctions in vehicles. Use specialized diagnostic tools and software to analyze vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electronics. Interpret error codes and provide accurate reports on system failures and recommended repairs. Collaborate with the repair team to execute necessary repairs and replacements. Stay updated on the latest diagnostic tools, technologies, and procedures in the automotive industry. Test and verify the functionality of repaired systems to ensure proper performance and compliance with safety standards. Maintain detailed records of diagnostic procedures, results, and repairs for customer and company use. Provide excellent customer service by explaining diagnostic results and repair recommendations in a clear and professional manner. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; certification in automotive technology or a related field is preferred. Proven experience as an Automotive Diagnostics Technician or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of modern vehicle systems, including electrical, mechanical, and computerized components. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as OBD scanners, multimeters, and manufacturer-specific software. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics. Experience diagnosing electrical problems is preferred. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality work standards. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform tasks that may require standing, bending, and lifting heavy equipment or parts.
