OverviewThe global leader in automotive equipment, Snap-on Equipment, has an immediate opening for an Automotive Equipment Technician. The Automotive Equipment Technician is responsible for overall service call completion within the territory, assisting in problem solving, equipment installation, and repair. Serviceable equipment includes: Wheel AlignersWheel BalancersTire ChangersAlignment LiftsAutomotive/General Purpose LiftsSpecialty LiftsBrake LathesCollision Repair EquipmentA/C Units Responsibilities Follow Snap-on's safety priorities and maintain a safe working environment through awareness and focus.Expand the use of Rapid Continuous Improvement in day-to-day activities to help increase organizational capacity.Repair, maintain, and install equipment in assigned territory, following established standards for repair protocol, response times prioritization, and customer communications.Assist Associate FST and FST employees with complex customer problems.Complete and close calls for all customers in the assigned area.Manage customer equipment needs during and after warranty periods.Resolve customer problems and ensure customer satisfaction.Sell contracts, updates/upgrades, and parts in the assigned territory.Call on customers prior to warranty or contract termination dates.Make cold calls to pursue the sale of service contracts.Schedule regular site visits with customers to provide timely, accurate equipment service.Assist with the collection of outstanding receivables.Perform administrative duties as required, such as onsite signatures from customers, inventory management, and fleet management.Collaborate with the Snap-on Equipment Sales Force. Qualifications Associate's Degree in a technical field, military training, or equivalent with 1-5 years of experience.Basic knowledge of pneumatics and strong mechanical skills.Computer literacy on Microsoft Office products.Knowledge of PC hardware repair.Basic knowledge of under-car automotive operations.Knowledge of all products serviced by Snap-on Inc. and internal procedures.Ability to lift 45 lbs and work in an environment requiring frequent walking, standing, bending, twisting, kneeling, squatting, and sitting while driving.Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with customers.Must possess a valid driver's license.Must be able to work from home and be a self-starter.
