Automotive Mechanic Technician IWork Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM. Overtime Available.Fantastic Benefits Package, Shift Premium, Internal Career Growth, and Great Work Environment.Join our Team at Manheim, Detroit/CarletonAn entry-level vehicle technician provides high-quality vehicle maintenance and repairs for fleet vehicles. Provides service and delivery of vehicles with exceptional service to customers and is mindful of controlling costs. The technician may work independently or in a team environment.
- Perform Preventive Maintenance: change oil, oil filter, fuel filter, transmission flush, and inspect the vehicle for mechanical deficiencies.
- Performs some repairs, diagnostics, and fabrication.
- Keep shop area clean and tidy. Perform work in accordance with safety standards. Dispose of all fluids in a safe manner and in accordance with all regulations.
- Take action on a work without being asked by one's supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
Required Experience & Specialized Knowledge and skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid Driver's License and safe driving record required.
- 1-3 years of vehicle service and repair experience.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear.
- Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb.
- Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Requires physical ability and mental acuity to execute the duties of the position successfully within required timeframes to meet business requirements.
