Job Summary Caliber Auto Glass Technicians are responsible for repairing or replacing cracked, chipped, or damaged automotive glass.
OUR GLASS TECHNICIANS FOR THIS POSITION CAN MAKE UP TO: $1000 SIGN ON BONUSRole and Responsibilities - Replacement of automotive glass by following quality standards
- Ability to perform repairs on damaged glass
- Complete a pre and post inspection with customer
- May utilize various tools and scanning equipment
- Complete documentation of repair orders on mobile device
- Check in parts and communicate needs with urgency
- Ability to remove and install trim panels & interior parts without damaging
- Effectively prioritize and manage your time to complete assigned daily tasks
- Mobile position based out of a company provided vehicle
- Clean vehicle of glass debris and/or glass that may be a result of the glass being damaged by impact or repair process, including any excess materials on visible surfaces
- Ensures that all equipment, materials, and areas of operation are in safe working order
- Perform a final inspection with the customer and get customer's signature on all paperwork as necessary
- Complete all administrative duties and payment collection upon completion of job
- Accountable for assigned inventory (including vehicles, mobile devices, tools, other equipment provided)
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications, Education & Experience - Minimum 2 years of automotive glass industry experience
- Knowledge of glass installation and replacement practices
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Knowledge and ability to use computers, mobile devices, and related technology efficiently
- Self-motivated, positive attitude, with a customer focused vision
Requirements: - Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have a valid driver's license and ability to pass MVR check
- Ability to pass a background check
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds independently
- Travel may be required for continuing education and certification training
- Requires standing for extended periods of time with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, and stooping
- Requires frequent driving of company and customer vehicles
- Extensive travel within assigned area is expected
- May have exposure to fumes, dust, and chemicals
- Ability to work in a shop or mobile environment during inclement weather
- Required to wear PPE to include but not limited to facial covering, eye protection, gloves
