Automotive Service Manager

We're seeking an experienced Automotive Service Manager to carry out supervisory and advisory responsibilities to service department staff in accordance with our organization's policies and procedures. With a focus on customer satisfaction, they ensure that high-quality service is consistently delivered. They manage and mentor a team of service advisors and technicians, fostering a collaborative and productive work environmentJob Responsibilities:

Forecasts all required goals and objectives for the department to achieve annual operating budgets and maintains reporting systems

Inspects, tests and measures completed work to verify conformance to defined quality standards

Monitors employee work levels, ensuring compliance with manufacturer's warranty and safety procedures

Establishes and maintains good working relationships to exceed district benchmarks for customer satisfaction index (CSI) and enhances recruitment by establishing rapport with technical schools

Resolves all customer complaints immediately and effectively

Works with customers to obtain detailed descriptions of vehicle problems and discusses work to be performed and/or future repair recommendations and requirements

Handles escalated customer issues or complaints

Provides cost estimates of vehicle repairs to customers

Reviews work orders and collaborates with supervisors and team members to ensure accuracy of work

Maintains current knowledge of the business, technology, terminology, products/features, accessories, current sales, policies, safety and security practices
