- Perform scheduled maintenance: This includes tasks like oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and filter replacements.
- Repair or replace parts: This could involve anything from brakes and suspension components to engines and transmissions.
- Test drive vehicles: This is done to ensure repairs are completed correctly and the vehicle is functioning properly.
- Communicate effectively with customers: This involves explaining problems, outlining repair options, and providing guidance.
- Communicate effectively with team members: Mature, realistic, responsible communication between team members is a must.
- Maintain accurate records: This includes documenting all repairs performed and parts used.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest automotive technologies: The industry is constantly evolving, so continuous learning is essential.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- ASE certification (a plus)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
