Job Summary: The Automotive Service Writer is responsible for greeting customers and providing them with a positive service experience. This individual will act as a liaison between the customer and the service technicians, ensuring efficient and timely communication throughout the service process. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, excellent communication abilities, and a good understanding of automotive mechanics. Compensation & Benefits: The Automotive Service Writer position is a full-time, salaried position. Responsibilities: •Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner •Listen to customer concerns and accurately document them •Recommend necessary automotive repairs and services to customers •Provide customers with accurate estimates for repairs and services •Schedule appointments and maintain an organized service schedule •Communicate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and services •Keep customers informed of progress and any changes to the service timeline •Collect payments from customers and handle financial transactions •Follow up with customers after service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns •Maintain customer records and update them as needed •Assist with other administrative tasks as needed Requirements: •High school diploma or equivalent •Previous experience as an Automotive Service Writer preferred •Excellent customer service and communication skills •Knowledge of automotive maintenance and repairs •Strong organizational and multitasking abilities •Ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment •Proficient in computer software and technology •Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time •Valid driver's license and clean driving record EEOC Statement: Twin State Ford is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity at our company.
