The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to embracing quality and innovation in career and technical education, workforce development, and lifelong learning.Examples of Duties:Teach lecture and lab courses in Automotive Services TechnologyContinuous curriculum development, including the design, revisions, and implementation of instructional materials and assessment of learner outcomesIntegration of assessment activities into teaching practices and participation in department and college-wide assessment of student learningSupport of the success and development of students through the use of a variety of instructional methods, available office hours, and by providing additional resourcesDevelopment and implementation of on-campus, online and hybrid coursesContribution into department decisions on budget, scheduling, textbook selection etc.Participation in discipline, team, campus, and college matters through service on committees; attendance at regular meetings; and continued professional developmentSupport and advance the department and college mission through ideas and projectsMinimum QualificationsEducation Requirement
  • Post-secondary diploma or equivalent certificate in automotive services technology.
Occupational Experience Requirement
  • Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in automotive service technology.
Recency Requirement
  • One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
Professional Requirement
  • Current ASE certification in the areas in which the faculty member is teaching.
