Job DescriptionLocation: Based anywhere in the United States Working Conditions: Fully Remote and ideally can work in CST hours Status: PermanentAre you looking for a career change where you can still utilize your strong automotive technical background? We have an exciting opportunity to join our close knit team as an Automotive Technical Specialist. In this role you will focus on reviewing the technical aspects of organizational legal documents while following the established product development process.What I will be doing:
  • Review and edit legal documents for vehicle service contracts, vehicle protection products, and limited warranties.
  • Understand and implement technical, mechanical, and commercial requirements for each product.
  • Research competitive products and industry trends to determine any advantages and the sustainability of prospective products.
  • Uses project management software to track development of all projects from planning stages to completion.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders including product development contracts specialists, risk/underwriting department, and clients throughout the product development process.
  • Participate in departmental and interdepartmental meetings to stay informed about project developments and timelines.
  • Maintain professional, mechanical, and technical knowledge by completing annual continuing education requirements.
What you will have:
  • Associate's Degree or Diploma in Automotive Technology or Diesel Technology.
  • At least 3 years of experience as an Automotive or Diesel Technician
  • Advanced knowledge of automotive repair and the auto dealer service industry.
  • Intermediate writing and editing ability.
  • Ability to conduct technical research and work on multiple deadline-driven projects.
  • Strong team player who is also able to work independently
  • Excellent decision making ability and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
What would be an asset:
  • Automotive mechanical claims adjudication experience
  • Auto, RV, and Powersports experience/understanding
  • ASE Master Certification
  • Spanish both written and spoken
