Caravelle Boat Group has an immediate opening for an Automotive Mechanic/Technician. This position involves maintaining a fleet of approximately 10 to 15 transport trucks which are meant to drive boat and RV inventory up and down the east coast of the United States to our network of Factory Direct Marine & RV dealerships. The ideal candidate has a flexible schedule and prior professional experience as an automotive mechanic/technician.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Maintenance of 10-15 trucks: some gas, some diesel
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with our automobiles
- Assessing parts needed, getting proper approval for purchasing, and ordering
- Installation of parts
- Performing preventative maintenance to ensure as much cost savings as possible
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as an automotive mechanic/technician
- Ability to work on both gas and diesel engines
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills; you will be working with a variety of drivers who man the vehicles you will be working on
- Reliable transportation and clean driving record
