Responsibilities
  • Perform repairs in all categories: heating/cooling, electrical, brakes, steering, suspension, etc.
  • Repair and replace components such as transmissions, wheel bearings, water pumps, etc.
  • Troubleshoot guest concerns, collaborating with other techs as needed to diagnose accurately.
  • Ensure all repairs meet quality standards and adhere to manufacturer specifications.
  • Complete detailed preventative maintenance reports using digital visual inspections.
  • Maintain communication with the service department to keep customers informed.
  • Support housekeeping duties as needed.
  • Uphold high standards for safety, cleanliness, and organization.
  • Adhere to federal, state, and local regulations governing service operations, including protocols for hazardous waste disposal and OSHA standards.
Qualifications
  • 5-10+ years prior experience working as a mechanic/technician in an automotive shop
  • General maintenance and repair & replace experience required
  • Valid driver's license & clean driving record
  • Have necessary set of tools to perform repairs & maintenance
  • Excellent problem solving and diagnostic skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast paced environment to meet or exceed hourly goals
  • ASE Certifications preferred but not required
Physical Requirements
  • Occasionally lift and/or move over 50 pounds
  • Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head
  • Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle's needed repair
  • Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand-tools
  • Walk/stand for the majority of the workday
  • Drive manual transmission vehicles
  • Keeping a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment
  • Efficiently navigate a computer
