Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Title Clerk with experience in titling vehicles across all 48 states to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely recording of liens and completing registrations for our out-of-state customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare vehicle sales tax and title documents.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of title packets.
- Obtain additional information as necessary to facilitate titling.
- Process vehicle registrations in the state where they will be titled.
- Maintain a system to track and verify all out-of-state title work.
- Compile and maintain a comprehensive list of outstanding title work to report status to management.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with tag agencies and DMVs nationwide.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with customers to ensure a positive experience.
- Investigate and resolve complex title-related issues as needed.
Qualifications:
- 2 to 4 years of overall title experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1 to 2 years of title experience specifically in the continental 48 states.
- NC Notary Public certification or the ability to obtain it.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
