Job Summary:Central Buick GMC of Norwood is seeking skilled Automotive Transmission Technicians to join our team. This is a full-time position in the auto industry located in Norwood, Massachusetts. The role is an individual contributor who will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining automotive transmissions for our customers.Compensation & Benefits:We offer extremely competitive hourly pay based on experience and qualifications with potential for a sign-on bonus for the correct individual. In addition, we provide comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and retirement plans.Responsibilities:Perform diagnostic tests on vehicles' transmissions to identify any issues or malfunctionsUtilize computerized diagnostic tools and software to assist in diagnostics and repairsRepair or replace damaged or worn-out transmission componentsFollow manufacturer guidelines and technical instructions for repairs and maintenanceMaintain cleanliness and organization of work area and toolsKeep accurate records of work performed and time spent on each vehicleProvide exceptional customer service and communication to ensure customer satisfactionStrive to complete repairs in a timely and efficient mannerStay up-to-date with the latest technologies and advancements in automotive transmissionsRequirements:Experience with CDK and Xtime preferredPrevious experience as an Automotive Transmission TechnicianStrong knowledge of automotive transmission systems and componentsFamiliarity with diagnostic tools and softwareAbility to read and interpret technical manuals and instructionsStrong problem-solving skillsExcellent customer service and communication skillsDetail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining quality workValid driver's license and a clean driving recordMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of timeEEOC Statement:Central Buick GMC of Norwood is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
