Location: Doral,FL, USA
The Inspector is a critical role responsible for ensuring the safety and airworthiness of aviation components and systems. This position requires adherence to the manufacturer's instructions for continued airworthiness, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives. The incumbent will perform inspections at various stages, including preliminary, hidden damage, in-process, and final inspections, with a focus on quality and precision.
Key Responsibilities:
• Follow and adhere to processes outlined in the manufacturer's instructions for continued airworthiness, service bulletins, and industry standards.
• Perform preliminary, hidden damage, in-process, and final inspections on civil aviation components based on airworthiness directives.
• Conduct borescope inspections to ensure the integrity of aircraft engines.
• Manage engine receiving, inventory, and borescope operations.
• Oversee module inspections and complete in-process signoffs.
• Issue shop disassembly, assembly, and final inspection documentation.
• Ensure all tools used during assembly are calibrated and up to date.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and rework parts and assemblies according to company quality standards.
• Read and interpret routers and OEM manuals accurately.
Requirements:
• Licenses: Powerplant License required.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience with borescope inspections.
• Skills: Proficiency with all hand and pneumatic tools, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair parts.
• Knowledge: Understanding of troubleshooting, repairing parts, and concepts is preferred.
• Other Abilities: Ability to learn and perform basic repairs and read and understand routers and OEM manuals.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 5-10 years of experience with CFM56-3, 5B, & 7B engines.
• Experience with Quantum aviation software.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish.
