About the Job

Overview

DY Consultants is looking for an Aviation Consultant to join our team in support of our rapidly growing client base. As an aviation consultant, you will be involved in a wide variety of interesting airport projects while establishing and maintaining client relations and continually being trained to foster your skills in the industry.

Key Responsibilities: to provide support on the following studies:

• Master Plans and Airport Layout Plans
• Alternatives Development for Facility Improvements
• Airspace Obstruction Analysis
• Apron and Gate Design
• Operational Efficiency Studies and Delay Reduction Initiatives
• Forecasts of Aviation Demand
• Planning for Emerging Technologies in Aviation including Advanced Air Mobility (UAM)
• Environmental Planning and Sustainability
• Data Mining and Analytics
• Serve as an Extension of Staff at Client Sites
• Coordinate with Staff and Clients to ensure Project Success

Minimum Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in aviation, airport planning, or related field
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• High level of familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, government officials, private interests and the general public
• Familiarity with the aviation industry
• Highly motivated with the desire to learn and lead a group of professionals

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum of 2 years of aviation planning experience
• Master's degree in a related field
• Experience with software related to airport planning such as AutoCAD or AviPLAN
• Familiarity with coding languages such as Python and dashboard tools like Tableau
• Understanding of FAA/ICAO airport regulations
