Job Description:

Title: Aviation Engine Production Planner

Location: Doral, FL

Schedule: M - F

Contract: Perm

Shift: 7:30am 4:30pm

Salary rate: $80K - $100K

DESCRIPTION:

As a Production Planning Manager, you will oversee the production control department to ensure efficient and timely engine repairs. You will collaborate with multiple departments (Inventory, Machine Shop, Inspection, Purchasing, Assembly/Disassembly, and Quality) to cover all aspects of Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO). Your role includes team leadership, managing production schedules, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Train, develop, and supervise the production planning team on systems and operational procedures.
  • Review work scopes thoroughly to understand the scope of repair and customer deliverables.
  • Coordinate with the Purchasing and Outside Vendor Service departments to ensure all materials needed for repairs are identified and ordered.
  • Monitor internal and external repair work orders to meet engine schedule deadlines.
  • Collaborate with department supervisors to allocate resources effectively and complete tasks on time.
  • Distribute weekly progress reports to stakeholders.
  • Monitor the critical parts list and manage aging inventory.
  • Review Turn-Around-Time (TAT) to create realistic production schedules.
  • Lead and participate in production meetings, highlighting critical path items and proposing work-around plans to handle surge capacity and expedited delivery demands.
  • Ensure that all parts, materials, and tools are available for scheduled tasks.
  • Follow procedures and regulations to comply with FAA and other quality standards.
  • Provide process improvement recommendations to management.
  • Work closely with the assembly team to meet production schedules and deliver engines on time.
  • Manage and develop the Engine Parts Program (EPP) business.
  • Direct and utilize the gate system to enhance accountability across departments.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Production Planner/Coordinator.
  • Minimum of 5 years of engine experience.
  • CFM 56 engine teardowns and rebuilds is mandatory
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Experience in the MRO Aviation industry, particularly with the CFM56 family.
  • English Proficient
  • Strong organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Quantum aviation software.
  • Business proficiency in Spanish.
  • Strong system usage and knowledge of Quantum.
