Our client is seeking an Aviation Logistics Manager who will manage and coordinate logistics support for deployed aircraft operations around the globe.The successful candidate must be comfortable operating in an enterprise setting, and must have outstanding organizational and communications skills in order to keep multiple groups coordinated and keep the Program Managers who he/she supports properly informed.The primary attribute for any position is a dedication to problem-solving - whether you are operating from an office in Massachusetts, or operating in an aircraft in Africa. You'll work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with very demanding customers, and they are looking for colleagues who welcome that challenge.Responsibilities:- Managing inventory assets and improving inventory turns- Directing inbound and outbound logistic operations to/from domestic and international destinations- Managing warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, processing, and inventory control- Evaluating indirect costs related to customer requirements and requests- Developing relationships with transportation vendors to reduce cost and shipping time- Tracking and analyzing cost and efficiency of Logistics DepartmentAdditional information:- Base pay of $85-$95K plus bonuses- $5K sign-on- Relocation available- 10% travel: Might travel to DC for contract discussions and to FOB to see operations in action first hand.
