Through our efforts, we expect to make a meaningful contribution to changing the world.The responsibilities of an Avionics Mechanic/Technician are to maintain and repair the avionic and mechanical components of aircraft. This includes supporting all phases of R&D from concept through test stand construction, testing, and implementation on Skai vehicles or ground support equipment.The Avionic Mechanic/Technician is responsible for the following tasks:Inspects mechanical and electronic elements of the aircraft.Uses a variety of hand and power tools to assess and replace parts.Performs work under general supervision. Handles moderately complex issues and problems, refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.Other duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:Experience with hand tools and power toolsExperience performing custom fabrication of wiring harnesses and avionics components integration.Able to read drawings, sketches, schematics, and Process and Instrumentation Diagrams. Comfortable with providing feedback to Engineering.Not required, but experience working with hydrogen fuel cells, hydrogen storage technologies (cryogenic and gaseous), and hydrogen transfer technologies (cryogenic and gaseous) a plus.Ability to take direction on work to be performed and timing of task completion.Focused on safety and maintaining a clean work environment.Bias for action, able to think on your feet.Ability to work overtime hours as required.Wire harness fabrication, installation, repair and troubleshootingCarbon fiber or other composite experience a plus, but not required.Hands on mechanical workExcellent written and verbal communication skillsEducation and Experience:High School diploma or equivalent and/or military experienceAccreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades programAirframe and Power Plant (A&P) Licenses are required, IA is a plus.2+ years of experience.Physical Requirements:Ability to lift 70 lbs.Able to work in an assembly environment and may involve working in uncontrolled temp environment.Ability to work sitting, standing, laying down, and on a ladder.#J-18808-Ljbffr
