The Training Manager will play a crucial role in shaping and driving our continuous improvement strategy. This position involves designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive training programs to ensure our workforce meets the highest standards in engine MRO services. The Training Manager will lead efforts to maintain industry compliance, develop skills, and enhance team productivity.
What You Will Do:
- Training Program Development:
- Overhaul the current training program per 14 CFR Part 145, § 145.163 regulations.
- Create training categories, program components, and sample training plans.
- Course Design & Delivery:
- Develop courses covering aircraft maintenance, including airframe, engine, and avionics troubleshooting.
- Design role-specific training syllabi.
- Training Facilitation:
- Conduct internal “train the trainer” sessions.
- Lead in-person and on-floor training programs.
- Skills Assessment & Gap Analysis:
- Conduct individual and team skill evaluations.
- Identify learning gaps and implement corrective actions.
- Record & Compliance Management:
- Establish and maintain comprehensive training records.
- Ensure all documentation is audit-ready and meets regulatory compliance.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Partner with business leaders to align training efforts with company goals.
- Engage external vendors for specialized training as needed.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Evaluate training effectiveness using participant feedback and outcome analysis.
- Introduce industry-leading methodologies in instructional design.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Adult Learning, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance training, with a focus on airframe, engine, or avionics systems.
- Formal training background in organizational leadership (academic or practical).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Experience managing Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License (preferred).
- Proven experience in instructional design and large-scale training initiatives.
- Exceptional facilitation, presentation, and project management skills.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships across all organizational levels.
