Your Mission is Ours.Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a Summer 2025 Intern to support the Sikorsky Aircraft Avionics Product Center's operations business team. In this role, you will perform assignments in technical/engineering organizations (e.g., Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, Facilities Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering) during vacations and short-term breaks from college attendance while enrolled in an accredited degree program. Tasks may include analysis on manufacturing methods, cost, digital transformation projects, and other duties as required. Assignments will be in a cross-functional team environment encompassing a full range of product/project management activities including employee communication, program planning, customer proposals, program financials, earned value, and overall program execution. These internships offer a unique opportunity for intern level exposure to strategic planning and tactical program execution for motivated students looking to develop their skills in a fast paced corporate setting. Candidates must display an ability to think logically, communicate a clear understanding of their subject matter, and offer informed suggestions to improve processes'. You also must respect individual differences and utilize diverse thinking and contributions of all. The successful candidate must have the ability to contribute as a member of a diverse cross functional team working on specific improvement projects. Candidate shall comply with company and regulatory EH&S policies, rules and requirements. Exposure to and assistance with the following may be required: Lean manufacturing initiatives for hour reduction; Facilities layout and 3P events; Benchmarking analysis; Provides actual, earned and EAC reporting information; Performs capacity planning analysis and optimizes work to prevent bottlenecks; Considers ergonomics and human factors during cell design, work flow and process planning; Regularly provides risk analysis to the organization for future capacity and throughput planning; Maintains and publishes site and program level operations performance metrics. Must be a US citizen.Basic Qualifications- Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree on a full-time basis and have completed at least three (3) semesters in any of the following majors: Management, Engineering, Aviation Science, Computer Science, Business or similar discipline- Proficient with the basic computer programs and Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and Power Point- Ability to utilizes data to propose cost savings opportunities- Familiarity with manufacturing concepts and technology insertion- Candidate should have strong analytical skills- Must have problem-solving skills- Must be a US citizenDesired skills- Must have excellent communication skills- Ability to following instructions- Candidate should possess organizational team skills with projects-Candidate should be energetic, open to diverse viewpoints and assignments, and persistent despite setbacks and resistanceEEOLockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.National Pay StatementPay Rate:The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $20,904 - $61,672. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.Premium Pay StatementPay Rate:The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $24,024 - $67,288.
