Role Summary/Purpose:

The AVP, Acquisition & Commercialization for Ashley Furniture will own the development, execution and implementation of the overall strategy to acquire new Ashley cardholders. New cardholders are essential to the portfolio - delivering 70% of program sales annually. This role will develop deep knowledge of Synchrony's products and capabilities in tandem with a knowledge of Ashley's pricing & promo strategy to implement acquisition strategies and tactics that lead to profitable growth. This individual will work closely with the Client Marketing Leader and Licensee Marketing Leader on acquisition offer recommendations, best practices and execution, along with curating consumer insights and research, associate engagement & training ideas and content, and identifying and implementing new products and capabilities in a highly matrixed organization and client.

Essential Responsibilities:

* Identify, sell in and execute acquisition offers and/or capabilities across all owned channels including in-store, .com, Marketplace and through coordination with Lifecycle, Digital and Licensee Marketing team members and clients

* Be the Marketing subject matter expert of Synchrony products and capabilities to grow acquisition including but not limited to Marketing technology (offer persistence, personalization, eQS, prescreens/ITAs), direct to device and/or prequal through Business Center and/or Versatile, Pay in 4/Pay Later, etc. Think scale of products and capabilities by partnering with Licensee Marketing leader to identify and commercialize

* Assist planning and execution of Ignite and associate engagement initiatives in partnership with Licensee Growth Leader. Manage relationship with Ignite team providing closed loop feedback, analysis and budget status across rewards, fees

* Lead Monday Client call managing performance updates, initiatives status and more. Coordinate agenda, manage call and follow-ups accordingly across functions

* Lead Marketing calendar updates and tracker in partnership with client and internal teams

* Manage in-store activations and grand openings, including all in-store collateral including terms documents, signage and identify new format opportunities. Coordinate and monitor the execution of all Ashley and Ashley Outlet grand openings including managing swag, communications and other activation plans

* Partner with Sales/CD to develop and deliver training for Ashley corporate and licenses. Think scale to Ashley GoHomeSite partnering with Licensee Marketing Leader to identify opportunities to communicate updates, enhancements, products, etc. to licensees through the GoHomeSite

* Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree, OR in lieu of degree, 7 years of progressive experience in a marketing or retail marketing role at financial services organization

* 3+ years of marketing cardholder acquisition experience within Financial Services, high-tech industries or interior furnishings

* Ability to travel as needed; ~ 10%

Desired Characteristics:

* 4 years of product and/or retail marketing experience to include a minimum of 2 years of cardholder acquisition lifecycle, and/or marketing planning and execution

* Bias for action and consistent display of curiosity

* Highly effective at communicating and collaborating with cross-functional teams and clients; able to negotiate and influence to define and deliver on priorities and manage projects effectively

* Positive, high-energy attitude with a passion for cardholder marketing

* Enjoy a balance of strategic work with hands-on-implementation

* Organized, resourceful and results driven with high attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously

* Can self-manage and work autonomously with a remote, dispersed team

* Breadth of knowledge and experience in marketing B2C/B2B/B2B2C

* A minimum of 3 years of experience within financial services, preferably within consumer retail financing

* Knowledge and understanding of the financial services and payments industries highly preferred

Eligibility Requirements:

* You must be 18 years or older

* You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

* You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

* You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

* New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must have at least a consistently meets expectations performance rating and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance requirement).

Grade/Level: 11

The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
