The AVP, Finance will lead a team supporting accounting and specific operational functions across AmTrust Financial Services. The role interacts with our finance leadership team, underwriting, claims and actuarial departments to ensure the proper interpretation and recognition of complex financial agreements. Responsibilities:Required:
Extensive insurance industry experience; managing and leading others; increasing levels of responsibility in a large-scale organization.
12+ years accounting experience with minimum 4 years working in a reinsurance department or 7+ years of progressive accounting experience in the insurance industry
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage workload to meet assigned deadlines in fast-paced environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that highlights the individuals ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management and third parties to maximize performance by improving current processes or implementing new processes as deemed necessary
Excellent Excel skills
Working knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle GL preferred)
Preferred:
Big 4 experience preferred
CPA or MBA
