The AVP, Special Assets manages a portfolio of problem commercial loans comprised of C&I and CRE credits. In this role, you will play a vital role in mitigating the Bank's risk by working with clients to determine an appropriate course of action, driving highest recovery results.
What You'll Do
Manage assigned portfolio of distressed loans
Conduct in-depth analysis into lending relationships in order to formulate and propose an appropriate course of action
Meet with borrowers to negotiate terms for restructure or settlement; perform site visits to inspect collateral
Interact with Wintrust charter banks and niche groups as problem loans are identified and assigned for active management in MAD
Enforce bank's legal rights and remedies working directly with outside counsel and third-party professionals as necessary in litigation
Collect past due accounts, restructure workable credits, and liquidate collateral as warranted
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or related major
3+ years' commercial experience including origination and/or workout experience with C&I or CRE loans
Knowledge of commercial fundamentals across all asset types
Demonstrate proficiency in portfolio management and monitoring, negotiating, and litigation management
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent analytical and organizational skills
Ability to take initiative and willingness to be flexible and accommodate changing demands
