Repo Documentation Specialist - US Treasury Clearing Location: New York Permanent / Full-Time Salary Range: $120,000 - $130,000 We have an exciting opportunity to work with one of our prestigious clients at an Investment Bank as part of our Post Trade Services Team. You will be working as part of a fast-paced team, within repo document negotiation and supporting our client's US Treasury Clearing business. Job Description: The US Treasury Clearing mandate is set to go live on December 31st, 2025 for cash trades, and on June 30th, 2026 for repos (repurchase agreements). There will be clearing volumes due to this mandate and this individual will help the team prepare for the necessary volumes, whether it's supporting the project itself or assisting with BAU (business as usual) activities. Role Responsibilities:
- Analyze and negotiate terms of repurchase agreements, including Master Repurchase Agreements (MRAs), Global Master Repurchase Agreements (GMRAs), tri-party repo agreements, clearing agreements and margin agreements.
- Collaborate with front office, legal, and compliance teams to facilitate the implementation of the US Treasury clearing initiative.
- Monitor and manage risks associated with repo transactions, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Provide support for trade capture, confirmation, and settlement processes, ensuring all trades are accurately recorded and reconciled.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes affecting repo markets and ensure all activities comply with relevant regulations.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including front office, legal, compliance, and counterparties, to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Maintain accurate records of all repo transactions and prepare regular reports for management review.
Role Requirements:
- Knowledge and experience within US Treasury Clearing, it is essential to have experience in negotiating both Clearing documentation and Repo (GMRA) or equivalent documents.
- Repo document negotiation experience is a must.
- Knowledge of Repo / Sponsored Repo useful.
- Experience reviewing and negotiating ISDA agreements is desirable.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills.
