Responsibilities:

We are seeking a mission-focused Cloud Administrator to support and contribute to our government customers success in Washington D.C.!

The Cloud Administrator will support cloud systems engineering, administration, and maintenance for a high visibility Executive Branch customer. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the optimal performance of Azure cloud services, specifically, you will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and troubleshooting of Azure environments to support mission critical applications and operations.

The role requires demonstrated experience and expertise with Azure services, including Azure Active Directory, VMs, Azure Networking, and storage solutions for efficient cloud management.

This role is hybrid and requires 2 days a week on-site in Washington, DC.

Duties, Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Deploy, manage, and operate Azure resource.
  • Perform system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes.
  • Review system and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
  • Support security assessments identify and mitigate risks and vulnerabilities and implement enhancements.
  • Manage Azure identities, governance, storage, compute, and virtual networks in a cloud environment, ensuring efficient configuration and management.
  • Ensure that all cloud solutions adhere to organizational security and compliance standards.
  • Implement and manage disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Automate cloud deployments and configuration management tasks to improve efficiency and reduce human error.
Qualifications:

Required Experience, Education, Skills & Technologies

  • Active DoD TS/SCI Clearance
  • DoD 8570 IAT II Certification or higher
  • BA/BS Degree in IT, Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience) CISSP or similar, security certification

  • 7+ years of experience including dedicated experience in cloud systems engineering and/or administration.

  • Strong knowledge of cloud services and Azure solutions including Azure Active Directory, Azure VMs, Azure Networking, and storage options.

  • Experience implementing and managing cloud security, including compliance with NIST and DoD cybersecurity policies.

  • Experience with automation and scripting technologies (e.g., PowerShell, Ansible, Azure CLI)

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Security Clearance Level

  • Minimum TS/SCI

Certification

  • DoD 8570 IAT II Certification or higher (e.g., Security+, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP)

Work Schedule

  • Full-time hybrid, on-site 2 days/week
