Our client is seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Administrator to join their team! This position is responsible for the deployment, maintenance, and management of cloud infrastructure and associated services. The Cloud Administrator will help align corporate strategies with tactical cloud solutions to meet business needs. This role collaborates closely with other members of the IT team and leads efforts to ensure optimal and secure performance of cloud-based services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy, maintain, and manage cloud-based solutions and services on the Azure platform.
- Collaborate with developers, system integrators, and business teams to support the technology strategy and architecture.
- Monitor performance metrics and troubleshoot system performance within cloud environments to ensure alignment with business requirements, identifying potential issues proactively and recommending solutions.
- Coordinate with vendors and other internal IT teams to ensure timely delivery of solutions and swift resolution of any issues.
- Configure and manage virtual networking, storage accounts, and storage containers within Azure.
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures for cloud-based services to safeguard data and infrastructure.
- Automate infrastructure, build scripts, and deployment processes using tools such as Terraform, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, and Azure DevOps.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users of cloud-based services.
Top Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Cloud Administrator or in a similar role; experience in the insurance industry is a plus.
- Strong understanding and experience with cloud-based services and architecture, specifically Microsoft Azure.
- Proficient in virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V.
- Knowledge of networking and security concepts, including firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs.
- Experience with automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
